When an elderly loved one is in need of special care, it is a stressful time. You do not know where to turn, and you are afraid to do anything that may jeopardize any benefits that your loved one may be eligible for. It’s a very difficult and confusing time in someone’s life. Many people look for guidance from friends and family, but that usually leads to more confusion and uncertainty.
I received my B.S. in Health Care Administration from SUNY Empire State College. I have over 14 years experience with NYS Medicaid as well as Elder Care. As a former Suffolk County Department of Social Services Examiner, I know what they are looking for and what to expect. I worked for many years as a Supervising Medicaid Paralegal at a prominent Suffolk County law firm, so I know the importance of asset protection and achieving financial eligibility. My experience extends to acting as a Director of Admissions and Medicaid at a nursing home, so I am aware of what nursing homes look for upon admission and what is needed to make nursing admission and/or discharge successful.
My experience is unique in that I have experience from all sides of the Medicaid and eligibility process. I will use my experience to provide you with the best services possible. I will also explain this process to you in terms you can understand. This is a difficult time, and I will make it easier on you.
My knowledge and expertise in all three aspects of this field can offer your family the guidance, insight and support you are looking for. I will help your family in finding the care that your loved one needs, assist in achieving financial eligibility for Medicaid and guide you every step of the way through the application process.
With me, you can be sure you are In Good Hands...
